Chiefs,
As our new round of State Transfer events takes place, we’ve been looking closely at all of the questions and feedback we’ve received from you on the State Transfer & State Merger. It’s Maddie here again with you for our latest episode of Developer Feedback, and this time we’ll be checking out the responses from our development team to the questions you’ve been paying the most attention to.
Q: Will future State Transfers allow Chiefs to move to States with different Hero generations?
:pushpin: Dev Response: For the current round of the State Transfer, we disabled transfers for Chiefs into State where the Heroes have different generations, with consideration given to the State Merger being held at the same time and also the significant amount of data involved for the participating States. But in future events, we will restore the cross-generation transfer rules (where Chiefs in some States can transfer to States with a higher Hero generation setting). Thanks to everyone for your support and wonderful ideas!
Q: How many incoming transfers are allowed per State in the State Transfer?
:pushpin: Dev Response: Currently, for States where the Hero generation setting is Gen 6 or below, 50 Chiefs can transfer in and for a Hero generation setting of Gen 7 or above, States can accommodate 100 incoming transfers. It’s also worth noting that Chiefs who receive an invitation from the Governor of a State will not be counted towards the limit on incoming transfers and neither will Chiefs who are not ranked in the top 300 for Power for a particular State.
*Note: The above information is only for the current version and is subject to change based on newer updates.
Q: When might the next State Merger be held?
:pushpin: Dev Response: We’d like to continue with future Mergers in the same fashion, holding a State Merger after each season comes to an end, followed by a large-scale State Transfer event. The dev team will take a look at the environment within each State before deciding which States are to participate in the Merger.
Q: If I want to transfer into a State but the State is about to undergo a Merger, do I need to find the Governor of that State and ask them to send me an invitation?
:pushpin: Dev Response: Say, for instance, States A, B, and C merge into State A during a Merger. Once the Merger is complete, invitations from the Governors in States B and C will no longer be valid. In this case, you’ll only be able to transfer if you are invited by the Governor from State A.
Q: In future State Transfer events, could you let us know earlier on how many Transfer Passes we need to use to transfer between States?
:pushpin: Dev Response: Thanks for your suggestion. We’ll think about how to optimize this in the future so that our Chiefs know earlier on how many Transfer Points and Transfer Passes are needed. This will help you to get prepared in advance.
Q: Why is it that in King of the Hill: Tier Matches, if there are no R4 or R5 members registered, the system automatically registers the Alliance and randomly selects participants, such that we are unable to change Alliances and join in cross-State events?
:pushpin: Dev Response: We apologize that the automatic registration mechanism caused you some inconvenience. We will be making changes to the automatic registration mechanism and our current direction is to not allow the system to automatically select participants if the Alliance is not registered in King of the Hill: Tier Matches, however the Alliance will still be involved in matching and tier matches, with 0 participants to ensure that the other two Alliances can obtain Tier Points as normal.
Q: What optimizations are going to be made to Battle Reports?
:pushpin: Dev Response: We have received suggestions from our Chiefs on optimizations to the Battle Report UI and our dev team has already started making decisions about what kind of changes we’ll be initially implementing. Following optimizations, the UI will enable Chiefs to view more intuitive combat data for every system.
And that’s a wrap for this episode of Developer Feedback. If you felt satisfied with the latest content, be sure to like the post. Don’t forget to tell us what kind of info you’d like to hear us talk more about in our next episode of Developer Feedback.
