The Attacking and Defending Side in Battle (Part 1)
In a PVP battle, there are usually two sides: the attacking side and the defending side.
But we define the attacking and defending sides differently in the following situations:
If the battle happens in a player’s settlement, the player who launches the attack are the attacking side while the player being attacked is the defending side;
If the battle happens at a resource spot, both sides in the battle are counted as the defending side;
If the battle happens in an alliance building such as the Alliance Headquarters, the alliance members are always on the defending side, even if they are launching the attack against the player who is invading, (the invading player is always on the attacking side);
If the battle happens in the main building or towers of the Capital, both sides in the battle are counted as the attacking side;

The Attacking and Defending Side in Battle (Part 2)
During the battle, there are 3 statuses for wounded troops: lightly wounded, wounded, or lost.
The lightly wounded troops will recover as soon as your troops return to your settlement.
The wounded troops need to be healed in the Hospital when the battle ends. It costs resources or Biocaps to heal the wounded troops in the Hospital.
The lost troops were killed in the battle.
For the attacking side, the lost troops can't be sent to the Hospital.
For the defending side, lost troops can be enlisted via the Enlistment Office.
If the Enlistment Office is full, the rest of the lost troops will be killed.
For the defending side, lost troops will be converted to wounded first.
Once your Hospitals are full, the remaining lost troops will enter the Enlistment Office and then around 70% of the lost troops can be enlisted.
If the Enlistment Office is also full, the rest of the lost troops will be killed and you will need to train new troops.
For the attacking side, your lost troops can be converted to wounded troops at a certain ratio.
Normally, the attacker will have more lost troops than the wounded troops and will not be able to enlist the killed troops via the Enlistment Office.
