Rusty
Rusty Springfield est un ancien membre d'un gang de motards. C'est dans les prisons les plus dangereuses du pays qu'il a appris à survivre. Ce biker farouche profite d'une liberté nouvelle depuis l'épidémie... malgré la pénurie de bière. Rusty traînait avec les Pilleurs, mais après une altercation à propos de l'honneur d'une survivante, et trois morts du côté des Pilleurs, il joue les loups solitaires.
Maddie
Maddie Mills vivait avec sa mère et son beau-père, enfin quand elle n'était pas scotchée à l'écran de son mobile. La jeune fille rendait visite à son père lorsque l'épidémie s'est déclarée, d'où la raison pour laquelle elle s'est retrouvée avec Frank... qui est désormais son fidèle compagnon.
Sergent
Soldat chevronné, le sergent Joe Nolan a été contraint de quitter l'armée après avoir été accusé d'organiser de la contrebande lors d'un déploiement à l'étranger. Devenu agent maritime, il se laissait bercer par un quotidien confortable (mais monotone) quand l'épidémie s'est abattue sur le monde. Aujourd'hui, il est content d'avoir repris du service et de mener une vie un peu plus palpitante.
Lucky
On ne sait pas grand-chose de Lucky, pas même son vrai nom... et c'est comme ça qu'elle préfère les choses. Sa personnalité flamboyante stimule le moral des survivants, mais ses éclats de rire tonitruants ont la fâcheuse tendance à attirer l'attention aux moments les moins opportuns (surtout lorsqu'ils se produisent au beau milieu de l'étendue sauvage).
Fantôme
Tim « Fantôme » Lee s'exprimait grâce à ses tags et autres graffitis ! Aujourd'hui, il ne dit plus grand-chose. Fan de parkour et pro du taekwondo, Fantôme a obtenu son sobriquet en démontrant une capacité peu commune à se faufiler furtivement jusqu'à des endroits que tout artiste digne de ce nom rêverait de taguer. Maddie et lui s'entendent plutôt bien : elle ne lui parle pas, et il ne lui pose pas de questions, d'où la raison pour laquelle ils partent souvent ensemble à la recherche de ressources.
FONCTIONNALITÉS
Sentier des explorateurs avec tower-defence
Contrairement aux autres SLG, State of Survival offre un gameplay qui fait la part belle au genre du tower-defence lors de la phase d'exploration. Vous pouvez déployer vos héros, activer leurs compétences passives/actives et les utiliser pour éliminer les infectés.
Des raids pour affronter le boss
Les démons infectés les plus dangereux rôdent dans la nature. Les attaquer en solo n'est pas un choix très judicieux. Pour faire mordre la poussière à ces monstruosités, vous devez œuvrer de concert avec vos alliés et organiser des raids !
Concevoir et agrandir votre propre colonie
Un simple abri ne vous suffira pas pour protéger vos amis et les membres de votre famille. Vous devez éliminer les infectés qui rôdent dans la zone, agrandir votre colonie pour en faire une forteresse protégée par d'épaisses murailles, concevoir les meilleures structures et recruter des civils.
